Mulch Master

We are just about done dispersing the 50 bags of mulch purchased a few weeks ago.

I've spread it around all of our side flower beds and just a few days ago completed the second half of our flower bed along the back side of our house. Yipee! Not a big project, but certainly nice to get it done, especially since it only took an hour after work one evening. Just tore out all of the weeds, replaced the small brick with actual edging rock and of course added multiple bags of mulch. It's all got to go somewhere, right?

Before's:
Of course Franklin was there as my right-hand man.
Left side complete from a couple of weeks ago...time to tackle the right...
After's:
So excited to check this off of our list. :)

Thanks, Craig!

I just bought this credenza on Craig's List. Actually, I bought it a couple of weeks ago, but it just got delivered today.

I know you are thinking I have lost my mind. But, I have a plan for this guy. And, it already looks better just sitting in my garage than it did in this ghetto picture.

Not going to post about it until I'm complete...in case my plan doesn't work. But, I'm pretty pumped about it.

Hooray for a new project to work on!

Case of the Tuesdays?

I feel like a lot of people are just trying to make it to the holiday weekend. Sounds like there were a lot of cases of the Mondays floating around. And, I feel like maybe I have a case of the Tuesdays.

But then I saw this new picture of our niece Brynnan that her Aunt Halley took, and I felt much better. How can you not smile when you see this happy face? And what a cute onesie if I do say so myself. So what if I bought it. Ha.

Nothing Like the Open Road

Franklin's a bit jealous I've spent all my time blogging about babies and not him.

So, I thought I'd give him some blog time too and share pictures of him trying to get the last bit of smells as we drove away from the farm on Sunday.
And, then him five minutes later. What a weekend.

Blog-a-Thon

I can't wrap up my blog-a-thon without a few pictures of Quinn. Andrew and I babysat the girls on Saturday evening while their parents golfed.

Andrew a bit baby-ed out and needing his own nap. :)

Quinn probably telling us what to do on Saturday evening. Haha.
Dressed up for church. Hey, I am all about people wearing cheerleading outfits...whenever. Go K-State!

Baby Leyton

Andrew and I headed to St. Joe with Andrew's dad on Saturday afternoon to spend some time with our nephew Leyton since we haven't seen him for six weeks. What a cutie!
Andrew jumped right in and wanted to feed him. Leyton would not take his eyes off of him...I wonder why?
My turn! I could not get him to burp so Andrew had to take over again.
Now he thinks he's a professional baby burper.

We got our baby fix and then handed him back to his mommy. After all, he needed his diaper changed. Ha.

On Saturday morning I attended an outdoor wedding shower for the lovely Kelly Maze in Hiawatha. The hostesses had a great spread, and it was so much fun spending time with all of my high school friends. We don't all get together often enough!

A few pics from the morning:Really jealous of Kindra's peonies...
Halley and I also took Brynnan to the shower so Noel and Hillary could make a day-trip to Kansas City for their birthdays. She was a hit! Everyone wanted to hold her and how can anyone resist?
Kelly got some great gifts, and I can't wait for her wedding!

Uncle Andy and Aunt Ali

We're getting ready for a full weekend of being Uncle Andy and Aunt Ali. Planning on spending the weekend at Quinn and Brynnan's house, including a night of babysitting on Saturday night, plus a quick trip to St. Joe to see baby nephew Leyton. We haven't seen him since his birth day so I'm thinking he will have changed a lot!

In honor of the baby filled weekend I made a few presents. I don't know what it is, but I have been in a very crafty mood lately.

Tada!
Cute monograms for each little bugger to hang on their respective bedroom wall.

Q for Quinnie:B for Brynnan:
L for Leyton:
These were really easy and fun to make, and I think they just pop in the white frame and matting. Just chose colors and fonts in Illustrator, printed at Kinko's and hello instant art!

I'm going to try and get pictures of the kiddos with their respective letters this weekend so stay tuned for a crazy amount of baby pics!

I really wanted to go garage sale shopping on Saturday morning. I was just in the mood to find some fun treasures. Of course it was raining so there were none. Boo.

I went to a couple of consignment shops, but no luck there either.

What a bummer! Don't you hate it when you are in the mood to browse and shop and just can't find anything?

Never fear, I decided to go to TJ Maxx just to look. And, I hit the mother load.

I think I am battling the itch to get started on another project since we finished our family room, so instead of shopping for big pieces, I found lots of little decorative things that can make a big impact.

1. Swapped out my old jewelry box for a new jewelry tree. Love this! I've decided I'm they type that tends to wear the same pieces of jewelry over and over so how fun to have it displayed in such a pretty way.

2. Franklin got a new big boy bed. Now he has one for our family room and one for our bedroom. Doesn't he look huge here?
3. Found this cute vintagey milk bottle carrier. I think I'm going to use this in the family room once we get our couch and move our coffee table. Any suggestions? This could be a cute candle holder...
4. Ever since I got married, I have been obsessed with M's. It's so fun getting things with your new monogram on them! Adding another to the collection...
5. Told you I loved M's. And, I love the stripe, polka dot, paisley combo in these colors for summer. What a stationary steal! And, I'm not going to lie. I also got new Nine West heels and a new wallet. Got my shopping high. Thank you for the shopportunity. :)

A Day in the Life

16.5.10 Ali Moore 0 Comments

Contrary to popular belief, most photo shoots are boring. Yes, it's cool to say you're going to a photo shoot and be out of the office, but it usually just means you spend a lot of time holed up in a studio sitting a lot and then are really behind with work when you wrap up. But, this past week we shot for our upcoming summer campaign and the location made it really awesome.

Who can pass up spending a day at someone's house in Preston Hollow in Dallas?
These pictures don't even do it justice.
Family room...
Living room...Courtyard...love the horizontal fence!Kitchen...complete with built in cappuccino maker. And our spot, the backyard...

Doesn't look like much from these views, but we got exactly what we needed. What a great Friday!
