Three Cheers for 35 Years

This past weekend Andrew, Franklin and I were back on the road again and headed up to Iowa to spend the weekend with my parents and help them celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary.  Wow - Andrew and I have a long ways to go.  :)

It was super relaxing, and I got the chance to take some landscape pictures.  Yay - more photog practice!  And yes, there are a quite a few pictures with corn in them.  Hello, we are in Iowa, people.  Field of Dreams?  Of course the corn is the focus.

Andrew swears the corn grew a foot while we were there...
Obviously Franklin got the chance to spend some time in front of the camera, too.  :)

The weather was great so lots of outdoor activities ensued - washers, catching fire flies, baseball, grilling, etc.

Quinn was a hoot and had a great time throwing water balloons at Andrew.  Of course baby Brynnan was a doll and so sweet.

The weekend ended with brunch after church on Sunday morning and family pictures.

Andrew insisted our picture be in front of the corn.  Duh.  And, check out his grown up shorts - no cargo pockets!  :)

So happy for my parents and excited for them to take their anniversary trip later this year! Congrats!

  2. Also, didn't know if you knew, but the Field of Dreams is for sale if you'd like to tell Andrew to keep working hard! :)
